What is Giving Tuesday?

In 2012, Giving Tuesday started out as just one idea: a day that encourages people to do good. This day has grown into the world’s largest generosity movement. What started out as a day of small acts of generosity has turned into a day that has changed lives around the world every year, because of people’s donations and giving towards charities, businesses, community movements and more.

This year for Giving Tuesday, we will be raising funds for StreetLight!

A StreetLight walkabout team of volunteers goes out three times a week, to meet our neighbours living without a fixed address to provide community, and conversation and also hand out necessities like food, bus passes, or gift cards to get a warm meal. We have seen so many life-giving relationships form through StreetLight, our hearts are to give our neighbours a loving and consistent community.

We ask you to partner with us through Giving Tuesday to provide for our neighbours without a fixed address. All donations for Giving Tuesday will guide StreetLight in providing a place of belonging for our neighbours living on the streets of Downtown Windsor.
