StreetLight Stories: Ben

Giving doesn’t always look like financial donations, there are so many opportunities to give in different ways. For example, Ben found a way to serve the Downtown Windsor community of our neighbours living without a fixed address by giving his time through volunteering on the StreetLight walkabout team.

This year for Giving Tuesday, we will be raising funds for StreetLight!

A walkabout team of volunteers goes out three times a week, to meet our neighbours living without a fixed address to provide community, and conversation and also hand out necessities like food, bus passes, or gift cards to get a warm meal. We have seen so much life and relationship through StreetLight, so while we’re anticipating Giving Tuesday coming up on November 28, we will be highlighting some stories from our StreetLight experiences.
